Finally after waiting to get the tank cycled and ready for shrimp, they are in. I went with 1 dozen blue pearl shrimp (Neocaridina cf. zhangjiajiensis). Start-Up of a F.W. Nano Shrimp Tank, part 2

I now have the shrimp tank set up and cycling. For lighting I had a standard black desk lamp with a bendable neck, & I put in a Marineland 10 watt compact fluorescent bulb. I purchased a nice piece of African Mopani Wood and decided I was going open top with the wood sticking out.
